Dining Room Extension

"AP Builders have recently completed a single-storey steel framed extension to our house in Spofforth. Though not a large project, it was not without its challenges, including building on ‘made ground’ (railway embankment), tying into existing structures that are at abnormal angles to each-other and have inconsistent floor levels, and working in atrocious weather conditions. In spite of these difficulties, Ady and his team have delivered a first class project, on time and budget. The build quality is exemplary and consistent with their refreshingly old-school approach to hard work and attention to detail, combined with bang up to date methods of construction. I’d heartily recommend AP Builders to anyone." Robert Coxon

This job was to mirror the existing kitchen extension to form an adjoining dining room with a glass gable end and a 4 metre wide bifold door.

The extension was built on a disused railway line and involved laying a steel reinforced slab with a galvanised steel frame and a traditional concrete tiled roof, finished off with a stone patio outside.

The interior work involved the removal of the dividing wall / complete skimming of the old kitchen and new extension and floor tiling to both adjoining rooms.
